Process
Each piece is crafted by hand staring with a high iron clay that reveals it's speckles after the final firing.

step 1
Clay
Everything starts from a ball of clay and an idea! Every scrap of clay is saved through the process and then recycled to use for another piece.

step 2
Throw + Build
Time for throwing the piece on the wheel or hand build and sculpting to create the base.

step 3
Trim + Handles
After a piece is dried overnight, it becomes leather hard and is ready to be trimmed, carved, stamped, decorated and handles are pulled and attached.

step 4
Fire + Glaze
Everything is dried out completely and then bisque fired to remove any residual water. This step takes it from clay to ceramic. Then each piece is painted or dipped in matte non-toxic food safe glaze and fired for the final time.
